Yellow Card, a leading global Stablecoin infrastructure provider, supporting over 50 currencies, has officially marked its expansion into Canada, further extending its network into North America. The move is enabled by the launch of Alkepay Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Yellow Card, which is registered with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) as a Money Services Business and registered with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider under the Retail Payments Activities Act. Through Alkepay, Yellow Card now offers foreign exchange dealing and cross-border funds transfer services to clients.

"For many years, Yellow Card has solidified its reputation as a trusted Stablecoin company, partnering with the likes of Visa, Mastercard, Western Union, Thunes, and MoneyGram to move money for institutions and businesses around the world," said Chris Maurice, CEO and Co-Founder of Yellow Card. "That trust is what we're built on, and it's what we're bringing with us as we expand our world-class infrastructure further into North America."

Lasbery Chioma Oludimu, Vice President of Global Operations at Yellow Card, added: "Every new market is months of work before it ever becomes a headline, connecting banking partners, testing settlement, and getting the local details right. Canada is no different, and now that it's live, our clients get the same reliability and speed we bring to cross-border payments in our other markets."

In the last few months, Yellow Card has sharpened a strategic shift from its pan-African roots towards becoming a true global company, with strategic hires in Latin America and Southeast Asia, as it builds its presence in those regions. Earlier this year, the company announced the affiliation of its Swiss VASP, StaaS Fintech Services SA, with SO-FIT, a FINMA-recognised self-regulatory organisation, giving institutional and corporate clients a supervised entry point into its infrastructure, and Canada now extends that same global build-out into North America.

The global stablecoin market is moving swiftly, annual transaction volume topped $33 trillion in 2025, and total market capitalization is projected to exceed $2 trillion by the end of 2028, according to industry estimates.

Any provider can describe ambitions for worldwide operations, however, few have built and operated the rails required to move money reliably through the markets where doing so is hardest, and that depth is what makes Yellow Card an industry leader. With $10 billion+ processed volume, licenses, authorizations and registrations across its operating markets, over 65 active banking partners, and 190+ countries reached via USD wire and stablecoins, Yellow Card shows no signs of slowing down.
