Sending and receiving money doesn't have to be a hassle. In this article, we outline how to send and receive money locally and across Africa instantly and at zero cost.

Local and Cross-border payments or transactions have been a significant challenge for businesses and individuals across the globe, and Uganda is no exception. While there have been numerous technological initiatives to solve these problems, Ugandans still have to deal with high fees when sending money.

At the same time, the unbanked and underbanked have to struggle with the daunting task of documentation and travel long hours to the traditional bank to process transactions. It is even more distressing as these banks have specific working hours, making it difficult to send money in emergencies. Additionally, these transactions take long processing times, which is very unreliable.

There is a need for a sustainable means to send money to our family and friends spread across the country and Africa, as well as for businesses. Yellow Pay, a payment product of African fintech, Yellow Card, is increasingly popular among Ugandans for sending money across Africa.

Why Yellow Pay Is The Best Alternative To Send Money Locally and Across Africa

Yellow Pay makes it easy to process both local and cross-border payments. Here’s why Yellow Pay is considered a trusted platform for sending money from Uganda:

  1. Zero Fees: The best part about Yellow Pay is that it is completely free! You can send or receive money to over 15+ African countries from Uganda without cost. This is a great advantage for individuals who frequently make cross-border payments and want to avoid paying high fees.
  2. Instant Transactions: Additionally, Yellow Pay is incredibly fast and efficient, allowing you to send money instantly across Africa with ease. This makes it an excellent option for individuals who need to send money urgently, whether for personal or business reasons.
  3. Easy to use: Another significant benefit of Yellow Pay is its accessibility. The easy-to-use app is available on both the Play Store for Android and the App Store for iOS, enabling you to send and receive money anywhere. You can use Yellow Pay to complete transactions in seconds without stress.
  4. Security: Yellow Pay is incredibly secure, with a platform protected by advanced security measures. Additionally, you enjoy 24/7 customer service agents, providing peace of mind when sending and receiving money.
  5. Send and receive money in your local currency: Yellow Pay allows you to send and receive money in your local currency, which is a significant advantage for individuals who want to avoid the hassle of currency conversion. For example, if you send Ugandan shilling (UGX) to a friend in Kenya, the friend automatically receives Kenya shillings. This feature saves you time and money while ensuring your recipient gets the exact amount you intended to send.
